Driving Miss Daisy

JULY 17-26

Forge Theater

In the Deep South in 1948, Daisy Werthan, a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two, has demolished another car. Her son, Boolie, hires Hoke, a thoughtful Black man, to be her chauffeur. Slowly and steadily the dignified, good-natured Hoke breaks down the stern defenses of the ornery old lady. In a series of touching scenes spanning twenty-five years, the two come to realize they have more in common than they ever believed possible—and that times and circumstances would ever allow them to publicly admit.

Dates & Times: 7:30 pm - July 17 (pay what you can/donation preview), July 18, July 19, July 25, July 26
